About us

Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can beautify common+unity (community) for New Zealand & Australian Society creating a better future for the children of tomorrow.

We started in 2021 under a necessity to fill a community void and have an outlet for new stories to be shared in Australasia starting first with Auckland New Zealand and connecting with African Creatives across the pond. A dream of two migrants who ventured to New Zealand who stubbled into this art form, dared to believe in finding enough light for ourselves and others. Creating work for marginalised groups and ourselves when opportunities to be considered Kiwi are spare and dearth as Africans. Being a versatile group of creatives and given the youth a voice to find their dreams as stage performers as practical.

As a group we looking yo host interviews, workshops, relationship building mixers and various creative projects that give a foundation for youth and community create projects of their own. Civilisation is connected to Africa Via. Y-Chromosome, therefore membership is open for all to join. We are here to foster relationships among all of New Zealand-Australian society and beyond.

Our approach

Our Mission
Our mission is to make sure all African and marginalised communities feel welcomed and offer mentorships through various educational events.

Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that creatives in any art form are not alone, we will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.

Our Vision
We want to build a world where no child or youth feels forgotten on screen and we can build possibilities that can kick start a career path in Film & TV.

Our entire team wants to see a world where every youngster struggling as creative can find avenues in entertainment with education, jobs, and more. We want to spread out in every region so we’ll be reachable to all.

A community that speaks for all

We have numbers that push us to give in our best. We formed out of gratitude for companies that helped us build our future in entertainment. We are happy to be growing and helping others more day by day.
